Baldur's Gate 3 dev investigating Xbox bans for uploading steamy game clips Larian says it's "in discussion with Microsoft" over Xbox players getting banned for recording and uploading explicit scenes from Baldur's Gate 3.Sean Carey Published 04 Jan 2024 FollowtopicsBaldur's Gate 3Larian StudiosID@XboxLocal MultiplayerXbox Series X|STurn BasedSean Carey Earlier this week, it came to light that an Xbox player was banned for a full year after recording and accidentally uploading three clips to the Xbox network that included "some naked camp time fun" in Baldur's Gate 3. Larian says it is now discussing the issue with Microsoft. In a tweet, Larian's publishing director, Micheal Douse, said, "We've seen the reports that some players got banned or otherwise faced issues on Xbox having uploaded screenshots/videos of their 'gameplay content.' We're in discussion with Microsoft, and we're looking into it. Annoying and uncool."The Xbox player that was banned says their suspension has been lifted, but if you want to be extra cautious and save yourself a potential headache, you can disable automatic uploads in your console settings so you're not uploading any potentially racy clips to the Xbox network. You can also turn off mature content in Baldur's Gate 3 in the options menu. Elsewhere, Xbox and Larian are still working on the Baldur's Gate 3 Xbox save issue that is causing players to lose all of their progress. While a permanent fix has yet to arrive, Larian has offered Xbox players a workaround. If you are working your way through the Baldur's Gate 3 achievements, it will be worth hopping on this workaround just in case.More Baldur's Gate 3 stories: Larian Studios has "two very ambitious RPGs" in development, opens new studio Baldur's Gate 3 is getting more evil with next Xbox patch Baldur's Gate 3 dev calls industry layoffs an "avoidable f*ck up" Best Xbox RPGs Baldur's Gate split isn't to do with Wizards of the Coast, Larian says Xbox Series X|S Written by Sean CareyAvid Xbox and achievement fan, Sean has committed to playing the best RPGs, racing games, and first-person shooters Xbox Game Pass and his precious free time will allow.
