If you've been trying for the Coral Island achievements, you might have noticed a fair amount of confusion about what's required to unlock several achievements in particular. A new Xbox and PC update is out now with a Coral Island achievement fix, and the update will also "readjust some achievements to make it easier to understand." It's a shame that Coral Island has had these issues as the actual game itself is fantastic and a stellar entry into the farming sim genre, so we're hoping that once the rough patches have been smoothed out on Xbox, Coral Island can join the ranks of the best Game Pass games.

Coral Island drops update with achievement fix and other improvements

As it stands, we have just one achievement flagged as unobtainable here on TrueAchievements: the Coral Island's Sweetheart achievement for reaching heart 8 with all NPCs. There has been some confusion about who the "all" refers to, and this achievement is one which, according to the patch notes, has been readjusted to avoid any misunderstanding. The achievement now asks you to reach heart 8 with all townies, and Stairway Games says "the change will make clear that you do not need to increase hearts with Merfolk NPCs to achieve this."

Likewise, the Multi-Level Gifting achievement has been adjusted from "give a gift to all NPCs" to "give a gift to all townies," again to make clear that "you do not need to give a gift to Merfolk NPCs to achieve this."

Then there's the Legendary Farmer achievement. This previously asked you to ship everything in the game but now asks you to ship all items in the Produce, Caught, and Found categories in your Journal. What's more, the patch notes say one bug fix is for the Legendary Farmer achievement issue where it "cannot be completed." You can check out the full patch notes below.

Coral Island is due to get a big update (it's currently in beta testing) which will add a lot of new content, including ocean farming and ranching, storylines and relationships for Merfolk, access to a new Savannah area, a new Town Rank S questline, and even more. Following that, Update 1.2 will add multiplayer and other new content. There's no release date for either of those yet, but we're looking forward to getting started when they arrive. In the meantime, there are plenty of great upcoming Game Pass games to look forward to too!
