Warhammer 40K: Boltgun DLC adds brutal Xbox achievements you can probably easily unlock

Xbox Game Pass retro shooter Warhammer 40K: Boltgun gets its first DLC today, which features nine Forges of Corruption Xbox achievements.

Players blasting through the Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun achievements can now download the game's first DLC expansion, and start unlocking its nine new Forges of Corruption Xbox achievements. While it's yet to make our list of the best Xbox first-person shooters, Boltgun is a brilliant retro shooter included in Xbox Game Pass.

Fresh achievements are always a great incentive to return to a game, and Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun has nine new achievements to collect. It appears that three of these new achievements are part of the game's free Horde Mode update, which all Boltgun players can start collecting now. You'll need to annihilate hordes of Chaos enemies in the Horde Mode on the Emperor's Mercy and Exterminatus difficulties if you fancy adding the new achievements to your collection.

As for the other six, you'll need to purchase the Forges of Corruption DLC, which adds a new five-level campaign to shoot through, a host of new enemies like the Black Havok Legion and Helbrute, and two new weapons: Multi-Melta and Missile Launcher. To complete the DLC's six achievements, you'll need to finish the campaign on several difficulties, take down a Helbrute, and find all of the Forges of Corruption secrets.

There's a chance that these achievements can be unlocked easily, as the base game features an invincibility mode in its accessibility settings. Seeing as it's built into the game, we don't see why it wouldn't work for the Forges of Corruption and Horde Mode DLC. With invincibility turned on, you'll be able to stroll through the new content like a walk in the park.
