Site Feature: My Achievements Details View

We've just introduced a new Details View for your Locked and Unlocked achievement lists, optimized for mobile devices. You can now also see the flag types and achievement progress in these lists.

Two of the most used pages on the site are our members' lists of locked and unlocked achievements across all of their games.

These pages have not seen any development updates in years, and the TGN dev team has noticed they aren't a particularly great user experience on mobile devices, for example, when looking for achievements for our monthly Targets or our famous Community Events.

Today, we are launching a big update to these pages that should make your achievement-hunting experience considerably more enjoyable...

My Achievements - Details View

If you are logged in to the site, you can see the changes to the lists right now by clicking here or by clicking the All buttons next to Recent achievements and Next achievements in your Gamer Menu.

If you click the More filter options button, you will see a new option to select Details view.

New achievement list views and filters

One of the first things we wanted to do when redesigning these pages was to allow you to see the achievement flags for achievements in the lists. Given we already had a nice format for the achievements from the game pages, we have replicated this format in the Details view, but of course, included the Game Name so you can see which game the achievements are coming from:

Save your view settings

You can click the Save icon in the filter and the settings, and the view will be saved as your default. There's also a clear button that will revert everything in the view to the site defaults. Your saved settings will also apply when you look at other people's locked and unlocked achievement lists.

New Sort by dropdown and options

We've added a new Sort by dropdown, which has some cool options in it:

Achievement list details

You can sort by most of the normal achievement-related stats, but if you choose to sort by Achievement Progress, you will see the achievements you are closest to finishing.

You can also choose to view your To do list in this view, which allows you to easily see the flags on those achievements.

By clicking the up/down arrow next to the sort order, you can reverse the ordering of the list.

Export button now returns the list exactly as you have filtered it

We've done loads of work on the Export feature of your locked and unlocked achievements. Clicking the Export button will download a CSV file of the exact list of achievements below based on your filters (but for all the pages in one file). Note: this is a TrueAchievements Pro only feature.

Show TAD and Min and Max TAD filters

There is a Show TAD option to display the TrueAchievement Difference score on the list of achievements, and selecting this will also add a Min and Max TAD filter to the options. This will come in very handy for our next community event! 😉

Normal list view is still available

Of course, if you prefer using the old list, you can set your view to List view and click Save to leave this as your default view.

We hope you enjoy these improvements to these pages, and they make your achievement-hunting considerably easier!

Yo! Rich here - I was the one that created TrueAchievements back in 2008 as I felt the Xbox Gamerscore system could be improved. The site has evolved massively since then and it's now the biggest and best Xbox community on the planet! Racing games and open world shooters are my thing, but I'll give most genres a go. Except RPGs - those things are evil.
