Microsoft's experiment in bringing its Xbox exclusives to PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch appears to have been a success, as Xbox chief Phil Spencer has now confirmed that more Xbox games will be heading to other platforms.

More Xbox games will be heading to other platforms

Earlier this year, Microsoft released four of its Xbox-exclusive games on PS5 and Nintendo Switch, and ever since, everyone has been wondering if more games would make the jump. Now, Phil Spencer has confirmed that we can expect more Xbox games to go multiplatform.

"Our commitment to our Xbox customers is you’re going to get the opportunity to buy or subscribe to the game, and we’re going to support the game on other screens," Spencer told IGN in an interview following the Xbox Games Showcase. "You are going to see more of our games on more platforms, and we just see that as a benefit to the franchises that we’re building, and we see that from players, and the players love to be able to play."

It's unknown what games will be released on other platforms, but there have been plenty of rumors in recent weeks. Supposedly, this plan has been codenamed called Project Latitude at Microsoft, and recent reports claim that Microsoft is considering Hellblade 2, Age of Mythology: Retold, and Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition for other consoles. However, it's been claimed that Microsoft could be working on a Halo: Combat Evolved remaster, which is also being considered for a PS5 release.

Although it was expected, Microsoft confirmed during the Xbox Games Showcase that Doom: The Dark Ages would also be launching on PS5 in 2025.
