Thanks to gaming we've had the opportunity to play as a wide variety of animals; from a mischievous goose roaming the streets, a goat that's done things you wouldn't believe, and even a dog that stops a twisted cat food operation. Now, we get the chance to take on the likeness of another furry friend we're all familiar with, the good ol' kit-cat. Let's find out if this cat will be basking in the sunlight or if this kitty will be jumping at it;s own shadow in, Little Kitty, Big City.

Our story begins as simple as the cat we'll be playing as enjoying a nice nap on the ledge but the poor thing slips and safely falls all the way down to the streets below. That wouldn't be so bad, but as the title implies we're in a city and our feline friend somehow needs to scale what looks to be a 10-story tall apartment building to get back home. And... well, that's all the story/plot we need frankly, get back to your cozy spot!

Playing as a cat has never been better as the basic movement and actions you've either personally witnessed or seen on countless videos is mirrored perfectly here. Come into contact with water and the cat leaps back, something up on ledge well you gotta push it off, just wanna meow... do it. The devs really turned up the cute factor here in small but nice touches like how running is called zoomies, and how you don't just stretch, you do a biiiiig stretch.

We do get some direction from a friendly crow that lets us know we should seek out fish so we have enough stamina to make the climb. This, and our own natural curiosity, takes us around, up, and inside a lot of places in the city. There's a small construction site where we can leave our mark, a small shrine with a pond in need of ducks, and a rooftop garden with a mean woman who won't stop hosing us! Plenty more sights and places are yet to be found and the game does a good job of nudging you to these areas either from small quests given by other animals or simply by noticing a net in desperate need of a ball.

The people walking about the streets can will even come over to pet you or snap a quick picture of you if you give them a meow. However, if they fail to pay attention to you then you are legally obligated to knock them over, snatch their phone, and dunk it into the nearest puddle or carry it off to a roof. They truly did this to themselves by not giving the kitty the time of day. But when you're not harassing the folks roaming about, you can also pounce on birds to snag some feathers and even make friends with the local dogs by giving them bones or finding their absolutely best and favorite tennis balls.

Are those achievements an easy feat or are they gonna be stinking up your score worse than a litter box? Nah not to worry, this list is very easy to complete and in total the whole thing can be completed in 3-5 hours. Naturally there's already a good amount of guides here on site to help with that last stupid nest you're missing or figuring out how to make the banana work so don't fret. This game has an easy set of achievements to complete and it never dips into them becoming annoying or tedious., they're purrf- nah I'll stop there.

This little kitty did a great job of being a simple yet cute and fun game where we get to indulge in the not-so daily life of a cat. The game is a perfect example of a game just to have some simple fun with for a short amount of time. Maybe the only thing I wish we had the ability to do was swap what breed of cat we can be or the fur color at least, but hey, those cute hats make up for that in spades, the cowboy hat never came off. I would certainly recommend, Little Kitty, Big City as it will have you grinning and maybe even have you pointing at your own cat and saying "That! That right there is what you do, all the time!". Curl up and get comfy as here you're in for a good time... just watch out for those cucumbers.

Err, which game was that again? Pretty sure the other two is Untitled Goose Game and Goat Simulator, but I was uncertain about this one.

shark hunter 21@EscapeTheApe That one was, Dog's Life, an old 2003 PS2 game. An oldie but a goodie.
