System Shock Xbox achievements require you to play on hardest difficulty for the 1,000G

Nightdive Studios' remake of the 1994 shooter System Shock is now available on Xbox, and you'll need to explore every inch of the Citadel Station for the completion.

It's been quite some time since Nightdive Studios announced it, but players can now take on the rogue AI Shodan when collecting the System Shock achievements. Looking at the list, you'll likely need to explore every nook and cranny in this Xbox first-person shooter if you want all 1,000 Gamerscore. Originally released in 1994, Nightdive's System Shock is a remake of the classic shooter, which sees you battling through an army of mutants and cyborgs to thwart the plans of a rogue AI called Shodan threatening Earth. You'll need to explore Citadel Station to save humanity. This remake offers up the original experience with a host of improvements, including improved graphics, updated controls, new sounds and music, a fresh interface, and more.

While 15 story-related achievements are secret, the rest of the list requires us to experience pretty much everything Citadel Station has to offer, including plenty of collectibles. Several achievements are linked to killing enemies in various ways, such as getting a kill with an "Overhead Monitor" — yup, get crushing! While most of the achievements appear to be miscellaneous or cumulative, you'll also need to complete System Shock on its "hardest difficulties" if you're looking to harvest the entire 1,000G, so this could potentially be a tricky one.

While the System Shock achievements look like they could be pretty time-consuming, Nightdive's recent Star Wars: Dark Forces Remastered looks to be a fairly quick completion.
