As is well established by now, most games sadly only remain in Xbox Game Pass for periods of around 12, 18, 24, and occasionally, 36 months or longer.

To help you plan out your gaming time, we've looked into our historical data to come up with a list of games that might leave Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass in March.

12 months

mlb the show 23 game pass

Most games that come to Game Pass usually drop out of the service after a year. The titles listed below all joined Game Pass back in March 2023 and could leave soon.
In previous years, the MLB The Show games have always left Game Pass the moment a new iteration of the game is released. With MLB The Show 24 joining Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass on March 19, it's likely we'll lose MLB The Show 23 around that time. The 1,000G here looks tough, but if you do decide to go for it, you'll need to set aside around 40 hours. For Ni no Kuni II, you will likely need around 100 hours for the completion, 50 hours to complete Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, 20 hours for Guilty Gear -Strive-, and 12 hours for Infinite Guitars.

18 months

hardspace shipbreaker release date

We also sometimes see games leave Game Pass after 18 months — Garden Story and Disc Room are the two latest examples of this. Here are all the games still hanging around in Game Pass that joined in September 2022.
Valheim and Slime Rancher 2 are currently in Game Preview, and it's quite rare for games to leave Game Pass when they're still in early access, so they'll probably stick around for a while longer.

As for the rest, we could lose popular games such as Let's Build a Zoo and Disney Dreamlight Valley. Hardspace: Shipbreaker is a bit of an odd one as it was first released as a PC Game Pass title back in May 2022, but the console version did come out in September 2022, so it's hard to say whether or not it will stay or go — set aside 60 hours here if you want the 1,000G. According to estimates, beating Let's Build a Zoo's base list will take up to 100 hours, and the completion of Disney Dreamlight Valley will only set you back a casual 300 hours of your life. Ni no Kuni also requires around 100 hours of your time. If you're thinking of playing Ashes of Singularity: Escalation on PC, just be aware that it has five unobtainable achievements.

24 months

TUNIC

It's also common for games to leave Xbox Game Pass after a period of 24 months. Here are all the games that still remain in the service after joining two years ago.
It would indeed be sad to see the excellent Tunic leave Game Pass next month. According to estimates, you will need around 20 hours for the completion here, so if you are yet to start, you still have plenty of time to get this one done — just don't go into Tunic thinking it's easy! Shredders is a much quicker completion, and will likely take you less than ten hours.

As for Crusader Kings 3 and Norco, it's hard to say when these games will leave Game Pass as both had console and PC versions join the service at different times. Crusader Kings III (Windows) joined PC Game Pass back in 2020, whereas its console stack joined in March 2022. Norco first came to PC Game Pass in March 2022, while the Xbox version joined a little later in November that year.

36 months

Genesis Noir

Next up, we have just one game that is still standing strong after joining Game Pass 36 months ago, which could also be on the chopping block as a result.
If you're yet to dip into Genesis Noir, it's an easy Game Pass completion — you should be able to unlock all achievements, including the title update achievements, in around five hours.

Both the Xbox and Windows versions of Yakuza 6: The Song of Life also joined Game Pass in March 2021, but considering no other Yakuza games have left Game Pass yet, we've not included it on the list above.

48 months

Pikuniku Achievements

Now we're straying into the realm of The Game Pass Faithful, with just one game still surviving after joining the service all the way back in March 2020.
According to estimates, unlocking all 14 achievements in the puzzle-exploration game Pikuniku should only take you around five hours, so you should be able to knock this one out pretty quickly if you want the 1,000G.
